Decades ago, American astronomer Carl Sagan popularized the saying “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.” This certainly held true in Christ Jesus’ time. His remarkable claims about God’s power spread widely, in great part because of their irrefutable evidence. Over and over, spiritual lessons were proved through spiritual healing.
My family, like thousands of others over more than a century, has accumulated multiple proofs of God’s presence to restore and redeem, comfort and cure. For instance, my mother’s healing of incipient blindness, my infant brother’s of double pneumonia, and my own, of hay fever, depression, childbirth challenges, and heart trouble. Plus divine guidance and practical solutions during career changes, interpersonal conflicts, and financial difficulties. Yet these healings were outcomes of something bigger—a spiritually scientific perception of God and His creation.
