Claire McArthur, “Separate out the wrong—and see what’s right,” Journal, April 2025

Thank you for this clear and instructive article. We can forgive others, but we must also forgive ourselves. Whatever is not right has no part in reality, no matter what it claims to be or do.

Judi Bell, “Your value as a spiritual thinker,” Journal, April 2025

This is a beautiful and easy-to-understand article. I love how clear it is that giving up a false, material sense of things can only bless oneself and others. It can never deprive one of any good, but on the contrary, it opens up a world of good. Who doesn’t want to participate in that kind of sacrifice?

Several passages in this article stopped me in my tracks (of thought!). They made me smile and make a note of their wonderful significance. The topic was sacrifice “that makes every day a holy day.” Sacrifice isn’t an unpleasant religious duty, but a joyous experience, transforming thought from a material to a spiritual view.

My favorite line of inspiration, relating to facing challenges, is “We can face them with a spirit of adventure.” Wow, this line alone turns my thought from grappling with a troubling difficulty to eagerly taking on a challenge. That’s a 180-degree turn from despair to hope. That’s Easter in a nutshell!

Scott Allen, “Employment lost, then found,” Journal, April 2025

I really appreciated Scott Allen’s account. It shows just how God works. I’ve had similar experiences of finding interesting ways to use my talents, when prospects seemed dim or nonexistent.

Alexandre Fischer, “Exposing Church’s powerless foe,” Journal, April 2025

Thank you to Alexandre Fischer for this wonderful article. There is so much in it that is very helpful in praying for church, and the analogy of leaves works well. Thank you, Alexandre—I’m off to brush up some more leaves.
