Testimonies of Healing
Almost the first time I turned to Christian Science for help I was instantaneously healed of neuritis. A nerve specialist in California had said that only rest and quiet for a long time would effect a cure.
I first came in contact with Christian Science about twenty-six years ago through some new acquaintances, who took me to the midweek testimony meeting in a Christian Science church. A statement made by one of the speakers stayed with me.
I am sending this testimony as a slight expression of my boundless gratitude for all that Christian Science means to me and to my family. We did not seek Christian Science for healing, but because we became convinced, even against our will, of its truth.
When one has had a physical healing, the potency of Christian Science is realized. When one feels the healing truth in his body, hears the "Peace, be still," quieting turbulent thoughts, and sees the manifestations of disease, accident, or sin disappear, then is one's heart lifted in gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for unfolding this great truth to mankind.

It is with great joy that I express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. It is about seven years since I went to a Christian Science service to ask for help for one of our children, who at that time was in a hospital suffering from a severe bone disease caused by being hurt while playing football.
"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings. " So we read in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy ( Pref.
Great gratitude impels me to give this testimony. The first time I heard of Christian Science I was sick and in despair.
About twenty-two years ago a lady asked me to read an article in the Christian Science Sentinel. I refused at first, but then said that to oblige her I would do so.
I was led to seek aid in Christian Science for many sicknesses, sorrows, and losses—of financial support, friends, and health—which had brought me into an almost helpless state. Added to this was the still more distressing fear for the safety and well-being of my three small children and my aged and feeble mother, who were dependent on me for support.
