Testimonies of Healing
About six years ago I was healed of neuritis in my upper arm. For several days the suffering seemed very real.
In early childhood I was pronounced a sickly child by our family physician, who lovingly did all he could for me. A relapse after measles was believed to cause hemorrhages of the lungs.
In sincere gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me and mine I am sending this testimony, in the hope that it may help others. A little over ten years ago I was pronounced incurable by many physicians.
For five years I suffered from lung trouble, which at the end of this time was called tuberculosis. The medicine I had taken, a water-cure, sun baths, and my sojourn in a sanitarium had been of no avail.
It is with a heart full of gratitude to our dear Leader that I write this testimony. I first learned of Christian Science more than ten years ago, through a very dear friend who lent me a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
When I turned to Christian Science for help, I was suffering from what the doctors claimed was a complication of diseases. They said I had a tumor, hemorrhoids, heart disease, and adhesions.
I want to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has come to mean to me. Many physical healings have resulted from the application of this wonderful truth.
It is a great joy to me to tell of all that Christian Science has done for me. When this name was mentioned to me for the first time I was suffering greatly from what physicians called a tumor in the intestines.
With a heart full of gratitude for restoration to health and the spiritual uplift I have received from the study of Christian Science, I wish to speak of an experience I had a few years ago which proved that divine Mind is ever present, and that there is neither time nor limit to its divine operation. While traveling with my husband on one of his business trips in the East, I met with an accident one evening.
In June of 1925 I experienced a wonderful demonstration of the power of Truth. My daughter, aged twenty-four, was suddenly attacked with cholera, which was very prevalent that summer in the valleys of Kashmir.
