Testimonies of Healing

I want to express my gratitude for Christian Science, as discovered and taught by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

When about twelve years of age, I had a severe fall while roller skating. I could walk only with much pain and difficulty, and could not bend over or dress myself.

I have been reading the Christian Science periodicals, and also the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy,—in fact all of her writings,—with a deep interest for about four years, and have become very grateful for the comfort and healing message they bring. I am prompted by the sense of love which Christian Science has instilled in me, to want to share what this wonderful revelation of Truth has done for me, that it may help some brethren somewhere.

In February, 1915, after years of suffering, I finally asked a friend, a good friend and a neighbor, if Christian Science would help me. She gladly replied, "Now you are ready to accept Truth;" so with her loving help I became interested in Christian Science.

Back of this testimony is the same motive which I suppose prompts every one that is written—the desire to help others who have like problems. "A great sacrifice of material things must precede this advanced spiritual understanding," Mrs.

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. Over two years ago I heard two women talking about Christian Science.

Sincere gratitude impels me to acknowledge the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science; and it is with joy that I write this testimony of God's healing power and loving care. Nine and a half years ago I turned to Christian Science for physical help.

I gratefully testify to the healing power of Christian Science. I had suffered with laryngitis for many years, and for five years had lost my voice every winter.

Two years before I began the study of Christian Science I had a great deal of trouble with my eyes. A film seemed to form over them, and I was able to read for only a few moments at a time.

Christian Science has been my only help and reliance almost ever since I can remember. It would be almost impossible to count the number of times I have been helped and healed through the application of the laws of Truth as found in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
