
Testimonies of Healing
My last testimony appeared in the Sentinel in March, 1957. And it is time I submitted another! This time I should like to express gratitude first for a healing of arthritis.
" The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate" ( Ps. 34:22 ).
My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded. I was reared in it, but, not realizing its true value, I began backsliding during my college years.
I attended a Christian Science Sunday School but was not a very receptive pupil. When I reached the upper age limit, I was not much interested in Science because I really had no problems to solve at the time, and my life was very comfortable and happy.
" A cup of cold water" was the way I described Christian Science when it was first presented to me. I am grateful to testify to the healing power of this religion, and my gratitude is unbounded for the help I have received from practitioners and through my own study and application of the truth.

Many years ago I was profitably employed as a salesman in the liquor industry. One day, while working in the vicinity of my home, I decided to stop in for lunch, only to find one of my children in great distress.
Because of Christian Science my life has been made over from one of hopelessness and despair to one of joy and fulfillment. In gratitude for the good I have received, I wish to add my testimony to the many that have given me renewed courage and strength over a period of more than thirty years.
My first healing in Christian Science was an instantaneous one of the smoking habit. It was brought about through my reading the testimonies of healing in a Christian Science Sentinel which a member of my family brought home from a literature distribution rack in a beauty shop.
