Testimonies of Healing

I am indeed grateful for Christian Science. Nothing is too small, nor can anything be too difficult, for the right application of this Science to heal.

It has been so many years since my testimony appeared in print that I wish again to express gratitude for my many blessings. Christian Science has been our only physician for many years, our only help in time of need, no matter what the exigency.

Learning to understand God better and man's relation to Him, through the study and application of Christian Science, has been my greatest blessing. I have been inspired and encouraged so many times that I want to express my gratitude by testifying to some of the blessings that I have received.

I wish to express my profound gratitude for the blessing of Christian Science and for all the good it has brought into my life and into our home. In fact, I have been the beneficiary of so many of its activities, including the helpful and inspiring articles and testimonies published in the Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel, that I can no longer keep silent.

For many years I have been blessed by reading the testimonies in the periodicals, and I feel that the time is now at hand to express my own gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done to transform my human experience. As a child I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for a short period, and the truth sown in the childlike thought, though dormant for many years, at last bore fruit.

I am most grateful to God for giving us Christian Science. I am especially grateful for the protecting power of good which we are able to make use of through the study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

The guiding, guarding, and healing influence of Christian Science has flowed through my life since birth, and it is difficult to choose from all the good that has been mine those healings and experiences that might be most helpful to others. Blessed with a mother who used Christian Science constantly in her daily life, I early learned that a knowledge of it does heal, protect, and supply all good.

It is with profound gratitude that I take this opportunity to testify to some of the many healings I have had through the application of Christian Science. About five years ago I found myself confronted with a physical trouble which was alarming.

For many years I had been hoping to see an impressive proof of the efficacy of Christian teaching and preaching, but it was not until I met a Christian Scientist, who proved for me the healing power of divine Principle, that I knew that the Christ was operating for the benefit of mankind at all times, now as in the time of Jesus. This first healing was a great joy to me because I was lifted out of the misery of a heavy cold with its accompanying difficulties, including a sore throat, and was enabled to perform successfully as soloist at a concert the following evening.
