Testimonies of Healing

In deepest love and gratitude I should like to add my testimony of the many wonderful proofs of the efficacy of divine Love that I have had in Christian Science. Soon after I had learned of this truth, I was seized with acute pain that took me quickly into "the valley of the shadow of death.

With feelings of deepest gratitude for the manifold benefits which have come to my family through Christian Science, I relate the following incident, trusting it may be the means of bringing assurance of help to some one called upon to undergo a like experience. There is at this time such a wide-spread feeling of apprehension regarding the result of dog bites, I feel it is particularly opportune that I tell of this demonstration.

On page 365 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes, "If the Scientist reaches his patient through divine Love, the healing work will be accomplished at one visit, and the disease will vanish into its native nothingness like dew before the morning sunshine.

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I write this testimony to what Christian Science has done for me. I had been in poor health for several years, suffering from various ills and extreme nervousness, followed by an attack of what is known as Bright's disease.

This is a statement of my healing by Christian Science. I was cured of a disease called "micradenia," which the physicians claimed was a fatal one and never known to have been cured.

I want to tell what Christian Science has done for me. Nearly three years ago I was suffering from rheumatism.

I feel it is time to add my own testimony to those that have been given, and which have been such a help and encouragement to me. In 1897 I was advised to give Christian Science a trial for nervousness in the very worst form.

It is with deep thankfulness to God for the many blessings I have received since coming into Christian Science, also with gratitude to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for showing us the way, that I give this testimony.

While it is not long since I began the study of Christian Science, there have been a number of beautiful healings in our home. These have meant much to me, a beginner, being the proof of God's power and care, and my ambition is that my life may be a fitting witness to my deep thankfulness to God and my gratitude to Mrs.
