Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science was first presented in our home when I was a child of ten. My father had been ill with rheumatism for a number of years, suffering so much pain that he spent many nights in a chair before the fire under the influence of a drug.

I am very grateful for Christian Science, grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, who was so courageous and unselfish in giving us Science and Health, the "key" which has unlocked the treasures of the Bible for all mankind.

My heart overflows with gratitude to God for Christian Science. Because I have proved in my own experience its efficacy in healing and restoring happiness, I joyfully add my testimony to that of thousands of others who also have found that through the application of the teachings of Christ Jesus, as explained and taught in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, all manner of ills can be cured.

For the joy and peace which Christian Science has brought to me, and for what it is doing for the world today, I am most grateful to God. I knew little about Christian Science when I had my first healing.

Although I had the blessings of a few years' experience in the Christian Science Sunday School, it was not until almost twelve years later that the seed sown there began to bear fruit. I turned wholeheartedly to the study of Christian Science after I had been healed through it of an unsightly skin disease that covered my whole face.

When my mother became interested in Christian Science, forty years ago, she acquired a spiritual estate which has not diminished through usage, but which has been enlarged and enriched by her faithful service for others. During this period I have shared abundantly in that estate, having used no material methods, but depending wholly on God for the cure of sickness.

For many years Christian Science has been my only physician and has met my every need. I was very ill with bronchial trouble and other distressing ailments when I turned to Christian Science for a healing.

As the Christ, Truth, fills our consciousness, we recognize God as the only power, presence, and activity. Thus man, by reflection, expresses dominion over all that is unlike good.

With the desire to encourage anyone who may feel that his understanding of Christian Science is so slight that he cannot put it into practice, I offer the following testimony. Our two-year-old son had been subject to periodic attacks of constipation from birth.

" Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. " As one who for almost fifteen years has been drawing water from the wells of salvation which God has given us in Christian Science, I write this testimony with joy.
