Testimonies of Healing
Joyously I should like to testify that Christian Science does heal and that through right application it solves all our problems. I have found that this Science is a most practical and logical religion.
In 1914 I was healed through Christian Science treatment of quinsy, from which I had suffered every winter for as long as I could remember. I have never had a return of the ailment.
About five years ago, two experiences occurred in my life: one was the most harmonious I have ever known; the other was the most discordant I have ever faced. The results of these two experiences proved to me beyond a shadow of doubt that I can always turn to Christian Science with calm assurance and confidence to deal with any problem that might arise in the future.
In the experience of many a student of Christian Science there is one healing or demonstration that stands out above all others as being particularly wonderful and responsible for much spiritual growth. In later times of difficulty the student may turn for renewed energy and inspiration to this glorious proof of God's care.
Many years ago a woman gave me an authorized Christian Science pamphlet in which I read for the first time in my life that God is a loving God, never punishing man with sickness and death. Later I took up the study of Christian Science and purchased the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour.
When I was a young woman, my mother laid down some undesirable health laws for me, saying that I was following in her footsteps and would, no doubt, have the same troubles she had experienced. I rebelled against these unjust decrees, but I did not know how to protect myself from such thoughts.
Christian Science was introduced to our family in the late 1890's when my grandmother was healed of a cancerous growth after she had undergone two operations, neither of which had been successful. When the condition presented itself the third time, the surgeon refused to operate, since he felt it was too advanced.
My husband, son, and I were in Japan from June, 1955, to June, 1956. Looking back over the varied problems we solved that year, I find that these lines from the Bible sum up for me the guidance we felt ( Ps.
In my earlier years I was a self-confident young man. Although my mother was the daughter of a minister and sought to teach me to pray at her knee as a child, I grew up with the conviction that only weaklings prayed.
