Testimonies of Healing

I am so grateful for Christian Science and what it has done for me that I should like to tell of a healing I had a few years ago. I was living on a mining claim in the foothills of the Sierras in Owens Valley, California.

It is a privilege to confirm the healings described above by my wife, and it is always a joyous occasion when we are able to express gratitude to God for another victory over error. We thank God every day for the blessings given us through the Bible, and the enlightenment offered to the world by Mrs.

To have been brought up by Christian Science parents in a loving, harmonious home, to have experienced the protection and healing power of Christian Science all my life, these blessings are only part of the good for which I thank God. With the help of Christian Science practitioners a severe and persistent case of hay fever was healed when I was willing to express more patience and unselfishness and understood that man is sensitive only to good.

I have been helped so often by reading testimonies in our periodicals that it is my prayer that my testimony may lighten the way of some seeker for Truth and bring a measure of that peace "which passeth all understanding. " I should like to tell of a healing I had many years ago.

I have been so greatly blessed by Christian Science that I am ashamed that this is my first public testimony of gratitude. I have known of Science almost all my life, because members of my family were interested in it.

For all the inspiration I have received from testimonies that I have heard given in branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, and in The Mother Church, I am most grateful. A few years ago a testimony was given in the branch church of which I am a member that made a great impression on me.

When I first began to study Christian Science I was suffering from indigestion of many years' standing. Indeed, I had given up all hope of ever regaining my health, and had come to consider myself an old man.

During my girlhood I read much denominational doctrine, trying to find something that would satisfy my reason in my search for God. The search brought little light and nothing I could accept and use.

Many years ago while in Colorado I noticed a sign in the window of a store announcing a Christian Science lecture. I was deeply troubled and in very poor health, and the sign attracted my attention.

I feel it is time for me to express my gratitude for Christian Science and to tell of some healings which I have experienced. I am especially thankful for the Christian Science lectures, because it was through hearing one that I first became interested in this religion.
